Focusing on building teams, shifting corporate cultures to bring these organisations towards excellence, Thomas has worked as Global Head of Sustainability - HSSE at Hitachi ABB Power Grids, after spending many years in ABB as Vice President Sustainability & HSSE, and as EHS Director at Alstom Power.

Born in Dublin in 1961, Willie Walsh holds a Master of Science and Business Administration from Trinity College, Dublin. Prior to joining IATA as Director General in April 2021, he spent his entire career in the airline industry, beginning as a cadet pilot with Aer Lingus in 1979 and rising to the position of Chief Executive at the airline in 2001. In 2005 he was appointed Chief Executive of British Airways (BA), leading BA through the 2008/09 global financial crisis, and overseeing the 2011 merger of BA and Iberia under a newly established parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG), appointed Chief Executive until September 2020. Under Walsh’s leadership, IATA has focused on supporting the industry’s emergence from the COVID-19 crisis as well as aviation’s ambitious and historic commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Angie Weinberger is the founder of Global People Transitions Ltd., a coaching, training, and consulting firm for Expats and Expat Partners based in Zurich. She has been supporting LGT Group for the last 3.5 years as a Senior Global Mobility Project Manager and has also coached over 300 internationally mobile professionals with their career topics.

She worked in international Human Resources and Global Mobility for around 25 years mainly in the financial services, professional services but also in other industries such as the building and construction space. Weinberger graduated with a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of Paderborn and a final thesis in Tasmania. In 2019 she enhanced her academic background with a Masters in Human Resources and Global Mobility from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, a course in which she is also one of the long-term faculty members. She is a Guest Lecturer in Global Mobility, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Intercultural Competence and she loves to educate herself constantly. She is on a mission to bring the Human Touch back into Global Mobility.

Born in 1975, Vincent Subilia joined the CCIG in 2015, in line with his previous assignment as Economic Development Officer for the State of Geneva, and became Director general in 2019. He represents the CCIG within numerous regional, national and international institutions, including the General Council of the World Chambers’ Federation, as elected Swiss representative. An alumnus of the Graduate Institute of Geneva, he is a qualified lawyer with robust expertise gained in Switzerland and abroad (including Brussels, London, New York and Beijing), Vincent worked within a large international bank in Geneva as Vice President for numerous years, as well as for a major law firm specialised in WTO issues. Vincent is also an elected member of the Geneva Parliament.

Gautier has a wealth of 17 years of security experience and was most recently the lead organizer and general coordinator for the visit of Pope Francis to Geneva and the 40’000 pilgrims Mass in Palexpo in 2019. Previous to this, Gautier was a Senior Consultant providing strategic risk management advisory services and event support for Corporate entities and High Net Worth individuals in high risk locations (i.e. Ivory Coast, Iraq, Niger, Egypt, Soudan, Mexico). Gautier has also held positions as Head of Security for both the Federal Palace in Bern and the State of Geneva advising directly the Council of Ministers on strategic security matters, information protection and counterespionage. He served as an Army Instructor and Company Commander in the Swiss armed Forces for 6 years and has specialized in Urban warfare tactics.

Gautier’ first work experience was as a Swiss Guard at the Vatican protecting two Popes (Saint John-Paul II & Benedict XVI) over 100 heads of State and VIPs.

Dr Stefan Esser is the Regional Medical Director Central Europe with International SOS, based in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated from the University of Aachen, Germany in 1988 with a Medical Degree and medical doctorate, followed by extended clinical experience in surgery, emergency medicine, travel medicine, sports medicine and family medicine at the Central Military Hospital Koblenz, Germany and other large hospitals in Germany including the UNTAC Field Hospital Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Dr. Esser was also trained in occupational health. He also holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration. Dr. Esser has published and given a large number of articles, lectures, presentations and seminaries on pain management, occupational health, travel medicine, travel risk prevention, and medical marketing. Dr. Esser worked with the German armed forces medical corps and several public and private health providers in Germany and other countries like  Algeria, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Lebanon, India, and Peru, Dr. Esser’s current position with International SOS and experience covers a variety of topics, including occupational health, pandemic planning and medical requirements for remote site locations.

Sabah Kahoul is a travel management and procurement specialist with an academic background in procurement.

She commenced her travel industry career in 1996 in the car rental industry, handling various positions from marketing to IT, and then switched to travel procurement roles at Microsoft and L’Oréal.

Since 2014, Sabah has managed her own consultancy firm, delivering travel and MICE procurement services to corporate customers.

Ersen Seckanovic has 11 years of experience in the insurance industry.

He previously held various management positions in the Accident & Health sector.

He is currently responsible for the A&H Corporate Business for Switzerland at Chubb.

Ersen Seckanovic comes from Zurich, where he also studied business administration with a major in general management.
