Feedback from clients reflects that clients and their organisations would like more options and ways to access the expert medical, security and travel advice provided by International SOS. The TravelAdvisor beta has been developed in direct response, expanding our suite of digital capabilities.

TravelAdvisor will act as a supplemental way in which travellers may secure a pre-travel briefing and confirmation number. Through a series of self-guided steps, our latest digital beta feature will provide travellers with the information that they need in order to stay safe and healthy while travelling.

This value-add enhancement provides a supplemental way to support organisations that specifically generate higher Pre-travel Advice call volume to the Assistance Centre. Clients with 200+ information and advice calls to the Assistance Centre in the last 12 months have been selected for this opportunity.

What are the benefits of being a part of the beta?
Participants will have additional ways to access the expert pre-travel advice as provided by International SOS. TravelAdvisor puts the control in your travellers’ hand, with multiple ways to access the beta.

Additional benefits include:

• Travellers will receive a comprehensive, tangible pre-travel briefing, which may be accessed at any time as well as saved for later reference

• Pre-travel briefings and confirmation number delivered in a consistent format every time

• Available in multiple languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, German

• No additional work required; the beta will simply ‘turn on’ within Assistance App and Portal

• Supporting marketing and communication materials to be provided in the event you would like to share beta details and benefits with your organisation

How will my organisation access and use the TravelAdvisor beta?
The TravelAdvisor beta will be accessible via the Assistance App, the Portal and online. Once a traveller responds to the TravelAdvisor questionnaire, they will be provided with a pre-travel brief that they may save and/or email. They will also be provided with a confirmation number.

The pre-travel briefing will be broken out into the following sections:

• Risk summary based on location, including COVID restrictions, visa requirements, entry/exit requirements, cultural tips

• Required and recommended vaccinations, ways to secure medical care, relevant health threats, food and water safety

• Personal security tips, including information on local crime, social unrest and conflict
Who within my organisation should use the TravelAdvisor beta?
We encourage all employees and travellers to engage with TravelAdvisor. The TravelAdvisor beta is especially relevant for organisations with active travellers or those with people preparing to travel. The Assistance Centre remains available to anyone who needs advice and support. This beta has been created to provide an additional support channel for travellers, not as a replacement for the Assistance Centre.
