ABOUT THE EVENT

For the first time, the world's biggest sports tournament is to be hosted in the Middle East. A record-breaking number of around 1.5 million international attendees, which is over 52% of the country's population are expected to arrive in Qatar from November to December 2022. The eagerly anticipated competition will kick off in across eight close proximity-built venues offering the visitors an unprecedented opportunity of attending more than one match a day.

The influx of people and advantages of the venues' proximity however comes not without its challenges, which may range from accommodation availability, COVID-19 risks, logistical, language and cultural issues to possible impacts on the country's health care infrastructure.
