LATEST UPDATES:
In the days since this video was filmed, significant escalations took place in the Tigray conflict.
  1. The TPLF, Tigray’s ruling party, claimed it had conducted rocket attacks on two airports in neighbouring Amhara state overnight on 14 November. The Bahir Dar and Gondar airports were targeted, and the Gondar airport was reportedly damaged. Domestic flights to these airports are now suspended indefinitely. International SOS now recommends deferring all travel to Amhara, while foreign nationals within Amhara should consider departing.
  2. The TPLF also said it had struck targets in neighbouring Eritrea, including the capital Asmara’s international airport, representing a significant escalation in the regional dynamic.
  3. International SOS continues to closely monitor the situation and will publish relevant updates for its clients in the coming days.

Our Regional Security Teams are monitoring the situation in Ethiopia 24/7 and can support specific requests for information, the verification of information, as well as forward planning based on sector and profile specific risks.
